Help With Radar Location Check Errors
If you’re seeing a Radar location check error, this usually means your browser or device is unable to confirm your location. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
We recommend completing the steps in order.
Step 1: Enable Location Services
Location services must be turned on for your device and browser. Please follow the instructions for your device and browser below.
iOS (iPhone / iPad)
- Open the Settings app.
- Select Privacy & Security.
- Tap Location Services.
- Make sure Location Services are turned on.
- Scroll to your preferred browser app and set location access to While Using the App or Always.
Android
- Open the Settings app.
- Select Location.
- Ensure Location is turned on.
- Find your browser app and set permissions to Allow only while using the app or Allow all the time.
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome and click the three‑dot menu (top right).
- Select Settings.
- Go to Privacy and security → Site settings.
- Click Location under Permissions.
- Ensure Ask before accessing (recommended) is enabled.
- Check if our website is listed under Blocked. If so, remove it.
Microsoft Edge
- Open Edge and click the three‑dot menu.
- Select Settings.
- Go to Cookies and site permissions.
- Click Location and ensure Ask before accessing is enabled.
- Remove our website if it appears under Blocked.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open Firefox and click the menu icon.
- Select Settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security.
- Under Permissions, click Settings next to Location.
- Remove our website if it is blocked.
- Ensure Block new requests asking to access your location is disabled.
Once completed, reload the page and try again.
If the issue continues, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Clear Cache and Cookies
Clearing your browser cache and cookies can resolve stored permission issues.
Safari (iPhone)
- Open Settings.
- Select Safari.
- Tap Clear History and Website Data.
- Confirm and reopen Safari.
Safari (Mac)
- Open Safari.
- Click Safari in the menu bar and select Settings / Preferences.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Enable Show Develop menu in menu bar.
- Click Develop → Empty Caches.
- Close and reopen Safari.
Google Chrome
- Click the three‑dot menu.
- Select More tools → Clear browsing data.
- Set time range to All time.
- Select Cookies and Cached images and files.
- Click Clear data, then restart the browser.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the three‑dot menu.
- Go to Settings → Privacy.
- Select Clear browsing data.
- Choose All time and select Cookies and Cached files.
- Clear data and reopen Edge.
Mozilla Firefox
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
- Select Cache and Cookies.
- Click Clear data.
- Restart Firefox.
If the error continues, proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Check for RDP, VPN, or Zoom
Other software running on your device can interfere with location checks.
Remote Desktop Programs (RDP)
Remote desktop connections can affect location verification.
- Windows: Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, open Task Manager, and close the program.
- Mac: Open Activity Monitor and force‑quit the program.
VPN
VPNs are not permitted and must be disabled.
To disable a VPN browser extension (Chrome):
- Open Chrome.
- Click the Extensions (puzzle piece) icon.
- Select Manage extensions.
- Disable your VPN extension.
To disable a VPN via system settings:
Windows
- Open Settings.
- Select Network & Internet.
- Click VPN.
- Select your VPN and choose Disconnect.
macOS
- Open System Settings / Preferences.
- Select Network.
- Choose your VPN connection and click Disconnect.
Zoom
If Zoom is running, close it completely and try again.
If the issue persists, proceed to Step 4.
Step 4: Try a Different Browser or Device
If you are still unable to pass the Radar location check, try using a different browser or a different device.
