Interac e-Transfer withdrawals are a fast and convenient way to receive your funds directly into your bank account.
Before you withdraw
To ensure a smooth experience, you must set up Interac AutoDeposit with your bank account:
- Log in to your online banking (app or website)
- Navigate to Interac e-Transfer
- Select AutoDeposit
- Register your email address and link it to your bank account
- Confirm the setup through your bank’s verification email
How it works
- Once AutoDeposit is enabled, your withdrawal will be sent via Interac e-Transfer
- Funds will be deposited automatically—no manual acceptance needed
- Withdrawals are typically received within 24 hours after approval
Important things to know
- Your withdrawal will be sent to the same account/email used for your deposit
- Joint bank accounts are not recommended, as they are a leading cause of personal information mismatches and may result in declined transactions
- If AutoDeposit is not enabled, you’ll need to manually accept the transfer, which may cause delays
- Make sure your email address is correct and up to date to avoid issues
